To keep from getting bored with running, I’ll often shake it up and run in different locations. After my latest run on the Couchville Lake Loop, I had plenty of time before I was supposed to meet friends for dinner and I still had energy for not-too-strenuous activity, so I opted for another one of the short hikes in the Long Hunter State Park area – the 1-mi Inland Trail Loop.
Inland Trail Loop, like Deer Trail, is another one of those hikes where the falling leaves have a tendency to obscure the trail. However, unlike Deer Trail, this one was created by Eagle Scouts and is incredibly well-marked. The path isn’t flat – it winds all around a small hill – but it still would be considered very easy to navigate. Overall, the loop was lovely. I had it all to myself and the changing colors in the trees were the perfect backdrop 🙂
