Hike #49 of 52- Dixon Merrit Trail – Cedars of Lebanon State Park

Following completion of the Cedar Forest Trail, I literally crossed the street and went straight to the Dixon Merrit Trail.  Blink and you’ll miss the trailhead.  Word of explanation: the trailhead signs states that the loop is half a mile, which is accurate; however, the trail is a lollipop meaning that there’s an out-and-back section before you ever get to the loop.  Put all together, the trail is a total of 1-mi.

Honestly, I’m sure this particular hike is a lot prettier in the spring since it’s technically a nature trail, but it was still a nice little hike.  Defintely easy and appropriate for all ages.
