Upon leaving the Library of Congress, W- and I walked over to the Supreme Court building. We had a scheduled tour/talk in the Court Chamber, where a guide talked about how the Court works and the features in the room. There is no photography allowed in the Court Chamber, and there is a very intimidating guard who will yell at you and escort you out if you try to subversively snap some shots.
After the tour, W- and I went down to the first floor where there was a cafeteria that smelled heavenly, as well as several interesting items on display to the public, including Chief Justice John Marshall’s chair, which he personally used and which is now used in a special ceremony for each new justice.
